Northern Norway rewards photographers in every season: the midnight sun through the summer months, the aurora from September to March, and mountains and fjords in every kind of light between.
The strait itself changes by the hour with the tide, so a fixed spot on the terrace can produce a different picture every evening.
No tours are run from the lodge; guests are simply pointed towards the best light and the quietest angles.
