A small lodge in Rystraumen, a protected marine reserve and one of Norway's strongest tidal currents. Cod all year round, halibut and wolffish from early spring. Sheltered from the wind, easy for families and first-time anglers.

The other side of the fjord

Thirty kilometres from Tromsø airport the fjord narrows, and the sea starts to move.

Rystraumen carries the fish past our pier twice a day; the mountains keep the wind off the boats. Guests have fished here since 2016, and we still go out every morning.

Something is always biting.

Cod all year. Wolffish from February, halibut from March until the end of October, redfish and flatfish in high summer, mackerel when the light starts to shorten. In the polar night we still go out, for three or four hours around noon.

Arrive by plane, rent everything here, rods, flotation suits, a boat with a chart plotter. We will always tell you where to catch fish.

Life jackets included and obligatory. Lowrance sonar and chart plotter on board. Delivered clean with two fuel tanks; fuel is extra. Skipper licence required if born after 1980.
